Etobicoke General

Etobicoke General is a busy, full-service community hospital serving a vast community – Etobicoke, Vaughan, Bolton, Caledon, east Mississauga and the northwest corner of Toronto. The hospital provides a broad range of emergency, inpatient and outpatient services including obstetrical care, cardiology, inpatient and outpatient mental health care and surgical services.

We’re committed to always meeting your needs.
Each year, the hospital manages more than its intended capacity, which means:

  • More than 72,000 emergency department patient visits
  • Delivery of more than 2,500 babies
  • At least 17,700 surgeries

The hospital also has responsibilities as a ‘first responder’ during any medical crisis at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Brighter healing spaces. Faster lab reports. The transformation at Etobicoke General has begun.

With the help of loyal supporters like you, Osler has upgraded the existing facility to add a new, four-storey patient tower. Our day surgery and diagnostic cardiology units are larger and more cheerful places to be. A new laboratory gives you results more quickly. And the new patient tower offers you:

  • More capacity and privacy in an emergency department twice the size
  • More space and special care for newborns in a Maternal/Newborn Unit with bright, modern birthing suites
  • Room for families to visit, in Intensive Care and Critical Care Units that are almost four times larger
  • Information and treatment for Cardiology, Respiratory and Neurodiagnostic Care, in a single convenient location
  • Easier-to-access day surgery and outpatient procedures

Help Etobicoke General grow.

These essential projects represent a significant investment by the government as well as generous support from the community. They allow Osler to press forward with its transformational expansion of Etobicoke General. Won’t you add your support to the hospital serving you and your family?
