Gia DeJulio, LLM, BASc, P.Eng., C.Dir. is an energy management consultant and former Vice President, Conservation & Demand Management, at Alectra Utilities. Gia holds a Master of Laws in Energy and Infrastructure from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University and a Bachelor of Applied Science, Chemical Engineering discipline, from the University of Toronto, is a Professional Engineer, and is a Chartered Director accredited by The Directors College, DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University.
Gia’s career in the energy industry includes expertise in buying, selling, distributing, regulating, and conserving both natural gas and electricity, and she has been a Board member of several energy associations. Gia is also the Vice Chair of the Board of Orangeville Hydro Limited, and a Board member of Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited.
Gia is happy to contribute to her community through her volunteer work including in her role as Vice Chair of the Board of the William Osler Health System Foundation, which financially supports Brampton Civic Hospital, Peel Memorial Centre, and Etobicoke General Hospital. She is the former President of the Board of Directors of Women’s Habitat of Etobicoke, an outreach agency and shelter in south Etobicoke for women and their dependents surviving violence and poverty. In her spare time, Gia enjoys golfing, following politics and current affairs, participating in Book Clubs, and mentoring students and young colleagues, including through Professional Engineers Ontario.
