Alectra Inc. Donates $250,000 to William Osler Health System Foundation to Enhance Care for Seniors
April 23, 2026, BRAMPTON – William Osler Health System Foundation (Osler Foundation) is proud to announce a generous $250,000 investment from Alectra Inc. in support of care for seniors across William Osler Health System (Osler) hospitals: Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness (Peel Memorial). This meaningful contribution will help enhance care experiences, expand access to specialized services, and support innovative initiatives designed to meet the unique and growing needs of seniors in the communities Osler serves.
As one of Ontario’s largest community hospital systems, Osler is committed to delivering safe, high-quality, people-centred care to a rapidly growing and aging population. Alectra’s support will directly strengthen programs focused on improving health outcomes, promoting independence, and enhancing quality of life for seniors and their families.
“As our communities continue to grow and the population ages, strengthening seniors care is both a core commitment and a priority,” said Dr. Frank Martino, President and CEO, William Osler Health System. “Alectra’s generous investment will help us enhance specialized services and create care environments that support the health, independence and dignity of older adults. Commitments like this ensure we can continue delivering compassionate, high-quality care for seniors and their families, now and into the future.”
The funding is provided through Alectra’s AlectraCARES Community Support Program, the company’s overarching corporate social responsibility program focused on creating meaningful social, environmental, and economic benefits in the communities it serves. Through AlectraCARES, Alectra invests more than $1 million annually in local non-profits, charities, and community organizations to help build strong, sustainable communities and address priority social issues.
“At Alectra, we believe strong communities are built by supporting those who need it most,” said Brian Bentz, President and Chief Executive Officer, Alectra Inc. “Through our community support program, AlectraCARES, we are proud to invest in initiatives that expand access to care and improve outcomes for seniors, helping ensure they receive the compassionate, specialized support they deserve today and into the future.”
This donation underscores a shared commitment to advancing access to health care, supporting vulnerable populations, and ensuring seniors receive compassionate, specialized care close to home.
