A fee of 2%, to a maximum of $5, can be added to your donation to offset administration fees, so more funds can go directly to our hospitals.

The admin fee helps offset costs associated with fundraising, such as resources required to process donations or issue tax receipts, communications, reporting and all other costs that support Osler Foundation’s fundraising efforts. Choosing to add a nominal amount to your donation helps offset administration fees so more can go directly to the cause.

The hospital’s most urgent needs change on a day-to-day basis. Monetary donations allow Osler the most flexibility to purchase needed equipment. We are grateful to members of the community who supported our frontline workers with donations of PPE; while we are not accepting donations of PPE at this time, in some cases Osler may be able to accept certain products. Osler is incredibly grateful for support from the community, including monetary donations, PPE and food for Osler’s staff and physicians. Due to the complexity of safe distribution across the entire organization, meal donations are no longer accepted. Many people don’t realize that 100% of equipment in a hospital must be funded by community support. Additionally, 10% of construction costs for any upgrades or expansions must be paid through community donations.

We do not have representatives go door to door or call to solicit funds. People are encouraged to call the local police if they are approached for donations by someone claiming to be from Osler Foundation.
