Help Us Build History

I live just around the corner from Peel Memorial, so it’s always been part of my life. I was born here in 1997—delivered by Dr. Martino, who today leads Osler as President and CEO. Years later, I still remember being a kid with a sprained arm, walking through its doors and meeting Dr. Martino again. My dad’s story began here too: he was born at Peel Memorial.
For 100 years, families like mine have turned to Peel Memorial in moments that matter most. This year, as we celebrate a century of care, I’m reminded that this place is more than a hospital—it’s the heart of Brampton, where compassion and care have passed from one generation to the next.
Now we have the chance to be part of history and create the next 100-year legacy. The new Peel Memorial will become Brampton’s second hospital, with a 24/7 Emergency Department and new inpatient beds—an incredible step forward for our city.

For me, this is personal. Now, as I prepare to welcome my first child, I want them to grow up with the same reassurance I’ve always had: that world-class care is right here in our community.
Hospitals aren’t built by government alone. They’re built by communities—by people who believe in acting today to build a healthier tomorrow. People like you.
Your gift will help build the new Peel Memorial Hospital and provide the essential equipment and technology that will serve our community for generations. This is our opportunity to shape the future of care for ourselves, our children, and everyone who calls Brampton home.
Let’s honour the past 100 years by ensuring the next 100 are even stronger.
With deep appreciation,
Anisten Dunsmore
