William Osler Health System Foundation is inviting the community to join its supporters on February 27 and hit the slopes for its 10th annual Ski Day event at Caledon Ski Club. 

“Ski Day raises funds to help equip Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Wellness and upgrade equipment and services at Brampton Civic Hospital,” said Mark Yarranton and Steven Wimmer, volunteer co-chairs of the Osler Foundation Ski Day committee.  “Getting people together for a beautiful day on the slopes is a great way to raise money and awareness. The all-inclusive pass offers exceptional value as well as the chance to support health care in our community.” 

Last year, more than 150 skiers and snowboarders enjoyed a beautiful day on the slopes and raised more than $72,000 for health care in Brampton. Osler Foundation and presenting sponsor, DG Group, are providing another great day for individuals, work colleagues and families by providing breakfast, lunch, lift tickets, snowshoe tickets and an après-ski reception. 

People who commit to raise pledges in support of this great cause can receive great prizes, including a Google Home system.  The top pledge earner will be awarded the Jim Kennedy Top Fundraiser award to commemorate the late Jim Kennedy, who was an avid skier and fundraiser for Osler Foundation, volunteering with great dedication as co-chair of the event for over seven years. 

There are three easy ways to support Ski Day – through sponsorships, pledging, and participating in the event.
