September 23, 2026, ETOBICOKE – The annual Osler Open: Etobicoke Invitational raised $232,245 on September 21^st in support of William Osler Health System’s (Osler) Etobicoke General Hospital (Etobicoke General), marking three decades of community support for local health care.

Hosted by William Osler Health System Foundation (Osler Foundation), and presented by IFS, the annual fundraiser welcomed 144 golfers, along with sponsors, employees and volunteers to the historic Islington Golf Club. Participants enjoyed a full day on the course, including 18 holes of golf, on-course experiences, contests, and post-game hospitality, all in support of Etobicoke General.

“In Ontario, communities must fund 100 per cent of hospital equipment costs and a portion of construction costs. For Osler’s Etobicoke General, that means community support isn’t just appreciated, it’s essential,” said Shelagh Barry, Interim President and CEO, William Olser Health System Foundation. “For 30 years, golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and community members have stepped up through this tournament to help ensure our teams have the equipment they need to provide exceptional care. We are incredibly grateful for that legacy of generosity.”

Etobicoke General cares for a rapidly growing and diverse community and is part of Osler’s network of hospitals. Osler serves a region that is home to more than 1.3 million people with some of the highest rates of serious illness in Ontario, including heart disease, kidney disease, and diabetes, with cancer projected to affect one in two people over the next 20 years.
