William Osler Health System Foundation and Shoppers Drug Mart raise more than $47,000 for local women’s health initiatives in Brampton

In support of women’s health, local Shoppers Drug Mart stores and their store teams have raised $47,708 to support William Osler Health System Foundation in providing much needed equipment to support women’s health in Cardiology and Diagnostic Imaging (mammography) in Brampton. 

Earlier this fall, the community joined together with local Shoppers Drug Mart stores and its store team for one of the most successful fundraising efforts to support women’s health initiatives here in Brampton.  The campaign provides customers with the opportunity to purchase and personalize a Growing Women’s Health icon, which are prominently displayed on the Growing Women’s Health “tree” in all participating stores. 

“We are grateful for the support from Shoppers Drug Mart and their customers to help provide quality health care to women in Brampton,” said Ken Mayhew, President and CEO, William Osler Health System Foundation. ”Donations made through this campaign will provide much needed equipment to programs that impact women to help them lead healthier and more active lives. We truly appreciate the support.” 

Since 2002, the Growing Women’s Health campaign has raised more than $32 million for Canadian health charities. Donations to the SHOPPERS LOVE. YOU. 2017 Growing Women’s Health campaign help William Osler Health System Foundation programs that support women’s health in Brampton.
