Celebrating Osler’s Staff Philanthropy Award Winners

Osler Foundation is proud to recognize and celebrate the exceptional staff members who help lead the way in health care philanthropy.
We are inspired daily by the more than 1,200 staff, physicians, and volunteers who contribute to our mission in every way possible—and take the extraordinary step of becoming donors themselves. This level of personal commitment is rare, setting William Osler Health System apart from other hospitals.
Join us, as we celebrate our 2026 Osler Staff Philanthropy Award recipients for leading by example and strengthening the future of health care at Osler through their incredible generosity.
Terri-Lynn Hansen, Director of Acute Medicine, Critical Care, Respiratory Therapy and Transitions
Terri-Lynn’s connection to Osler spans nearly three decades
Over the course of her career, she has grown from a physiotherapy assistant to Director of Acute Medicine, Critical Care, Respiratory Therapy and Transitions—building a remarkable legacy of leadership and care along the way.
Osler has been part of nearly every chapter of her life—her mother was a nurse at Peel Memorial, her children were born there, and her own family has experienced firsthand the exceptional care our teams provide.
It’s those experiences that fuel her passion for giving back.
Terri-Lynn is a dedicated champion of employee giving, inspiring others through her belief that every contribution—no matter the size—helps build the kind of hospital and patient experience we all want for our loved ones.
She leads with gratitude, generosity, and an unwavering belief in Osler’s future.
For Terri-Lynn, this is more than a workplace. It’s home.
Malani Missir, Exercise Therapist, Cardiac
Malani has been a dedicated and passionate supporter of Osler Foundation for many years, consistently finding meaningful ways to give back.
As a member of the Employee Giving Committee, she has helped champion a culture of philanthropy across Osler—encouraging others to get involved and make an impact.
She also went a step further by creating the Heart & Soul fundraiser—an initiative she spearheaded for her cardiology patients. Not only did it raise more than $10,000, but it also encouraged patients to stay active and engaged in their recovery—extending care well beyond the hospital walls.
And for 15 years, Malani has been a committed employee donor—leading by example through her own generosity.
Her impact is felt not only through what she gives—but through how she inspires others to do the same.
Amy Kelly, Project Manager, Redevelopment and Anita Sharma, Sr. Project Manager, Building Property Management
Amy and Anita are true partners in every sense—working side by side to advance some of Osler’s most important priorities and consistently showing up as strong advocates for the Foundation.
Through their roles in Capital Development, they have been instrumental in supporting key projects, including redevelopment efforts and the new Cath Lab—helping translate complex planning and clinical needs into meaningful opportunities for donor support.
But their impact goes well beyond their formal roles.
In Osler’s hybrid environment, Amy and Anita have become familiar faces in our Foundation storefronts—stepping in, welcoming donors, accepting gifts, and proudly representing the Foundation when our team isn’t there. They’ve taken on that responsibility without hesitation, becoming trusted ambassadors for our work across sites.
Amy also brings a unique perspective as a nurse, grounding this work in a deep understanding of patient care and what these investments truly mean on the front lines.
And both Amy and Anita have demonstrated their commitment personally as long-time employee donors.
Together, they embody what it means to go beyond—using their expertise, their voices, and their actions to strengthen the connection between our hospitals and the community we serve.
You can join them by investing in the future of heath care! Become a donor today!
