At Amazon, serving the community’s urgent needs is always a priority area for giving, and now more than ever, the company is committed to supporting the communities in which they operate, including Brampton, which is home to Amazon Canada’s 850,000 square foot fulfillment centre.

With a $50,000 contribution to Osler Foundation’s Health Care Heroes campaign, Amazon Canada is helping to ensure critical care is available where their employees live and work.

“As Canadians continue to face urgent needs resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to support the health care heroes working to battle COVID-19,” says Sumegha Kumar, Director, CACF Operations, Amazon Canada.  “This donation is part of Amazon’s broader ongoing efforts to support customers, employees, and communities.”

With this generous gift, Sumegha says Amazon Canada wants to help provide access to vital equipment to support Osler hospitals in the fight against COVID-19.

“In these unprecedented times, it’s important to support the organizations on the front lines,” she says. “It’s vital that hospitals have the resources needed to care for their patients and purchase critical equipment.  We’re proud to be supporting Osler Foundation’s Health Care Heroes campaign. We are humbled by your work and are proud to do our small part to support Osler Foundation and the life-saving work being done in our shared communities.”
