Sold-out Osler Open: Brampton Invitational raises more than $278,600 for Brampton's second hospital

June 26, 2026, BRAMPTON–Just days after the world’s top golfers competed at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley during the RBC Canadian Open, community leaders, sponsors and supporters took to the same championship course for a different purpose: helping build Brampton’s second hospital.
Together, participants in the sold-out 19th annual Osler Open: Brampton Invitational raised $278,625 in support of transforming the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness into Brampton's second hospital.
The transformative project will add inpatient beds, a 24/7 Emergency Department, and expanded outpatient services to meet the increasing health care needs of one of Canada’s most diverse and fastest-growing cities, with Brampton’s population expected to exceed one million residents in the coming decades. In Ontario, communities fund 100 per cent of hospital equipment costs and a share of construction expenses.
“Today wasn’t just about golf. It was about a community coming together to invest in its future,” said Shelagh Barry, Interim President and CEO of William Osler Health System Foundation. “Every registration, sponsorship, donation, and volunteer contribution brought us one step closer to a hospital that will serve Brampton families for generations. That’s the true impact of the Osler Open.”
“There will come a day when someone arrives at the new Peel Memorial Hospital during one of the most difficult moments of their life. They may never know the individuals who support today’s tournament, but they will benefit from their generosity. This is the lasting impact of community philanthropy—supporting care when it matters most,” added Dr. Frank Martino, President and CEO of William Osler Health System.
"Playing TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley is a bucket-list experience for many golfers—me included,” said Paul Bhullar, President, IFS. “Being able to do it while supporting Brampton's next hospital made the day even more meaningful. We're proud to sponsor an event that brings together business leaders, community partners and donors around a cause that benefits everyone.”
In addition to Presenting Sponsor, IFS, the Osler Open: Brampton Invitational is made possible with support from 18th Hole Sponsor, Orlando Corporation; Eagle Sponsor, CIBC; and Iron Sponsors BVD Group, Bird Construction Inc., Crawford Chondon & Partners LLP, LiUNA Local 183, and Steve Robinson and Associates of RBC Dominion Securities.
