Meet Marion
In June, Marion Fisher received Osler’s Kay Blair Community Service Award, recognizing 50 years of volunteer service at Etobicoke General. Her commitment to Osler started before the hospital was even built, as she and her fellow volunteers organized dances, flea markets, poinsettia sales, and a ‘Hoofathon’ walk to help raise funds for the then-new Etobicoke General. “The hospital was needed in the community and it was a lot of fun to work together to fundraise,” she says. “It’s your hospital, and when you donate it becomes more of your hospital.”
