Honouring Osler's 2022 Leaders in Philanthropy

Osler Foundation recently recognized three Osler physicians with the 2022 Physician Philanthropy Awards. These awards are given to those who demonstrate strong leadership in philanthropy by donating personally and contributing to the culture of philanthropy at Osler. This includes participating in fundraising meetings, tours, and event committees, encouraging grateful patients, and promoting philanthropic awareness and involvement among colleagues.

Dr. Andrew Cooper (Critical Care Medicine, Anesthesiology and Bioethics) and Dr. Varun Kapila (Division Head, Vascular Surgery and Site Chief of Surgery) were recognized for the Brampton Region and Dr. Prema Vaidyanathan (Hospital’s Interim Site Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology) represents Etobicoke Region.

These outstanding physicians are a strong testament to what “going beyond” means for our community, both within and beyond the walls of our hospitals.
